Piloodile

Piloodile is a fictional Pokémon introduced in *Pokémon: Let's Go, Pikachu!* and *Let's Go, Eevee!*, the spin-off games for the Nintendo Switch. It is a dual-type Water and Ground Pokémon that evolves from Piloo into Oricorio (Breezy form) when exposed to a Dawn Stone. Piloodile is a small, turtle-like creature with a smooth, brown shell and a long, flexible neck. Its body is primarily grayish-brown, and it has a distinctive, slightly upturned snout, which helps it forage for food underwater.

Piloodile is known for its strong swimming abilities, allowing it to dive deep into water bodies to search for food. Its Ground typing gives it immunity to Electric-type moves, while its Water typing provides access to moves like Water Gun and Bite. Piloodile is often depicted in a playful and curious manner, reflecting its role as a pre-evolutionary Pokémon.

In the games, Piloodile can be encountered in the wild, particularly in areas with water, such as Kanto’s Route 22 and Route 23. Trainers may also receive it as a starter Pokémon in certain versions of the games. Its design draws inspiration from real-life turtles and otters, blending their traits into a unique Pokémon form.

Piloodile’s evolution into Oricorio marks a shift in its typing and appearance, transitioning from a Water/Ground type to a Fire/Flying type. This evolution is tied to the Dawn Stone, which symbolizes a transformation influenced by sunlight. Piloodile remains a lesser-known Pokémon compared to others in its evolutionary line but plays a key role in the games' narrative and exploration.
