Piduguralla

Piduguralla is a mandal located in Guntur district of the Indian state of Andhra Pradesh. It is situated about 120 kilometres west of the state capital, Amaravati, and is connected by the National Highway 565.

Demographically, the Piduguralla mandal has a population of 47,349, as of the 2011 census. The majority of the population is rural, with a high percentage engaged in agriculture and related activities. The mandal is mainly inhabited by people belonging to the Telugu- speaking community.

The mandal has a rich cultural heritage, with several historical temples and festivals celebrated throughout the year. The most notable ones include the temples of Lord Mallikarjuna Swamy in Dasarlapudi and the Udayasheeswara Swamy temple in Chilakamarthi. Additionally, the region is famous for its annual Brahmotsavams, a major festival celebrating the worship of Lord Sri Venkateswara.

Economically, the mandal is primarily based on agriculture, with the major crops being paddy, maize, and chillies. The region is also known for its natural resources, including limestone and dolomite.

In terms of education, the mandal is well-equipped with several schools and colleges, including the mandal headquarter's Govt. Junior and Degree Colleges. Medical facilities are available in the nearby municipal towns of Piduguralla and Lam.

The mandal is administered by a Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO), assisted by a Tahsildar and other subordinate staff. The local government prices and gives out a fair share of the grain from the APMC areas and stores to offer rice and food supplies at common prices.
