Pibondreductie

Pibondreductie refers to the process of reducing the impact or presence of p-bonds within a chemical structure. P-bonds, also known as pi-bonds, are a type of covalent bond formed by the sideways overlap of atomic orbitals. They are typically found in double and triple bonds and are generally more reactive than sigma bonds.

The reduction of p-bonds can occur through various chemical reactions, most commonly through addition reactions. In these reactions, atoms or groups of atoms are added across the double or triple bond, effectively converting the p-bond into a sigma bond.
