Phulkian
Phulkian refers to a collection of Sikh misls—military confederacies—that emerged in the 18th century in the Punjab region. The name derives from the village of Phul, the place where several of these groups first organized and from the Sikh saint Baba Phool Singh, who is credited with inspiring their communal identity.
