Pfostensystem
Pfostensystem is a German term that refers to a pile or post system used in construction, agriculture, and industrial applications. The system typically consists of a series of vertically oriented posts made from timber, steel, concrete, or composite materials which are driven or poured into the ground to provide support, form a retaining wall, or establish a boundary. Each post is usually spaced at regular intervals and may be linked by horizontal members or by a continuous face panel.
In civil engineering, pfostensystems are employed to create lightweight retaining walls, freestanding fences, and temporary field
Key advantages include rapid installation, low cost of materials, and the ability to adjust design in situ.
