Panchsheel
Panchsheel was a document signed by the Republic of India and the People's Republic of China on April 28, 1954. The document was the outcome of diplomatic talks between Indian Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and Chinese Premier Zhou Enlai, which aimed at eliminating mutual distrust and promoting a spirit of cooperation between the two nations.
The name "Panchsheel" is derived from the Sanskrit word "Pancha" meaning five and "Sheel" meaning principles.
