Palladium0Komplex
Palladium0Komplex refers to a palladium(0) complex, a coordination compound in which palladium is in the zero oxidation state. These species are typically stabilized by soft donor ligands such as phosphines, N-heterocyclic carbenes, or alkenes and can exist as monomeric or aggregated structures. Common examples include Pd(PPh3)4, a widely used stabilised complex, and the dimeric Pd2(dba)3 that serves as a practical source of palladium(0). Other representative complexes include Pd(COD)L2 derivatives, where COD stands for cyclooctadiene, and various Pd(0)–olefin adducts. These complexes are generally reactive toward oxidative addition and are often employed as precatalysts in cross-coupling chemistry.
In catalytic cycles, palladium(0) complexes participate in oxidative addition to carbon–halogen or carbon–triflate bonds, forming Pd(II)
Preparation and use often involve reduction of higher-valent palladium precursors or isolation from Pd(0) sources, with
