Palaverikutsuja

Palaverikutsuja, also known as Finnish lemming-hunting sledge, is a typically Finnish multipurpose sledge traditionally used for hunting and transportation purposes. The palaverikutsuja consists of a long and narrow sledge body, usually made of wood, with a flat and slightly curved profile. It is designed to accommodate a driver and several passengers, with a total weight capacity of approximately 100-150 kilograms.

The sledge is typically drawn by a team of dogs, with some models specifically designed for use with reindeer. The traditionally used materials for the sledge's construction include logs, branches, and leather straps. In modern times, however, some manufacturers have started to produce the palaverikutsuja with more durable materials, including aluminum and plastic.
