Paineista
Paineista is the elative plural form of the Finnish noun paine, meaning "from the pressures" or "about the pressures" depending on context. The noun paine has several senses: in physics, paine denotes physical pressure, such as atmospheric pressure, and in everyday language it can refer to social pressure, coercion, or psychological stress. The elative form paineista is used to indicate the source or context of pressures, or to talk about pressures in general when used with prepositions or in phrases that discuss pressure-related topics. Common contexts include social and psychological pressures: "sosiaalisista paineista" (from social pressures); and generally about pressures: "paineista johtuvat riskit" (risks arising from pressures). In practice, paineista appears in constructions such as "paineista huolimatta" (in spite of pressures). The term functions as a grammatical form rather than as a separate semantic category; it enables referencing multiple pressures within a sentence. See also: paine, paineet, sosiaalinen paine.
