Paarthurnax

Paarthurnax is a powerful, ancient dragon who resides atop the Throat of the World, the highest mountain in Skyrim. He is the leader of the Greybeards, a monastic order devoted to the Way of the Voice, and a master of the Thu'um, or Dragon Language. Paarthurnax is also the last known dragon to serve Alduin, the World-Eater, during the Dragon War.

Throughout much of his existence, Paarthurnax has been in isolation, contemplating the nature of power and the limitations of the dragons' will. He is a complex character, capable of great wisdom and deep introspection. He offers guidance and training to the Last Dragonborn, the player character in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, helping them understand and master their own Thu'um.

Paarthurnax's past association with Alduin presents a moral dilemma for the Last Dragonborn. While he has renounced his allegiance to Alduin and actively works against him, his history as a servant of the World-Eater raises questions about his true nature and intentions. Ultimately, the player must decide whether to trust Paarthurnax and allow him to continue his solitary existence, or to slay him as a threat to the world. His fate is a pivotal moment in the game, forcing players to grapple with themes of redemption, forgiveness, and the consequences of past actions.
