Pacific Northwest National Laboratory (PNNL) is a United States Department of Energy national laboratory operated by Battelle Memorial Institute. It is located in Richland, Washington, on the Hanford Site. The laboratory was established in 1965 as the Pacific Northwest Laboratory (PNL) and was renamed Pacific Northwest National Laboratory in 1995.
