PIB
PiB is the pebibyte, a unit of digital information storage defined by the IEC as 2^50 bytes. It is part of the binary prefix series used to express powers of two: KiB (2^10), MiB (2^20), GiB (2^30), TiB (2^40), PiB (2^50), EiB (2^60). Accordingly, 1 PiB equals 1,125,899,906,842,624 bytes.
In larger or smaller units, 1 PiB equals 1024 TiB, 1,048,576 GiB, 1,073,741,824 MiB, and 1,099,511,627,776 KiB.
PiB is used in contexts where binary multiples are standard, such as computer memory and some storage
Originating from the IEC binary prefix set introduced to reduce confusion with decimal prefixes, PiB and its
