Pääesikunta
Pääesikunta is the Finnish term for the General Staff of the Finnish Defence Forces. It is the highest headquarters and command body of the Finnish military, responsible for planning and developing the defence forces, as well as directing their operations. The Chief of the General Staff, who is also a member of the Defence Council, heads the Pääesikunta.
