Osakestefüüsikale

Osakestefüüsikale, also known as particle physics, is the branch of physics that studies the fundamental constituents of matter and radiation, as well as the interactions between them. It aims to understand the basic building blocks of the universe and the laws that govern their behavior. The field is concerned with elementary particles, which are considered indivisible and are not composed of smaller entities. Experimental particle physics involves using large-scale particle accelerators to collide particles at high energies and then analyzing the debris to discover new particles and study their properties. The Large Hadron Collider (LHC) at CERN is a prominent example of such an instrument. Theoretical particle physics, on the other hand, focuses on developing mathematical models and theories to explain experimental observations and predict new phenomena.
