Orthochrysotile

Orthochrysotile is a polymorph of the mineral chrysotile, a form of serpentine. Chrysotile itself is known for its fibrous structure, and orthochrysotile shares this characteristic. It crystallizes in the orthorhombic crystal system, distinguishing it from other polymorphs of chrysotile which may crystallize in monoclinic or triclinic systems.
