Opvarmningsmåder refers to the various methods used to heat buildings and spaces. These methods aim to regulate indoor temperatures for comfort and safety.

One common opvarmningsmåde is central heating systems. These systems typically involve a boiler or furnace that heats water or air, which is then circulated throughout the building via radiators, underfloor heating, or air ducts. Common fuels for these systems include natural gas, oil, electricity, or biomass.

Another significant opvarmningsmåde is electric heating. This can range from direct electric heaters, such as space heaters or electric radiators, to electric underfloor heating systems. While electric heating is often convenient and easy to install, its cost-effectiveness depends heavily on electricity prices and the efficiency of the heating element.

Renewable energy sources are increasingly being incorporated into opvarmningsmåder. Heat pumps are a popular example, utilizing the ambient heat from the air, ground, or water to warm a building. The choice of opvarmningsmåde is influenced by factors such as building insulation, climate, fuel availability, installation costs, running costs, and environmental considerations. Modern approaches often focus on energy efficiency and reducing carbon footprints.
