Opvarmningskilde
Opvarmningskilde refers to the energy source used to heat a building or space. In Denmark, a variety of opvarmningskilder are employed, reflecting a mix of historical availability, environmental considerations, and economic factors. Common opvarmningskilder include district heating, where heat is generated centrally and distributed through a network of pipes, often utilizing waste heat from power plants or industrial processes. Individual oil and gas boilers have historically been prevalent but are gradually being phased out due to environmental regulations and the promotion of more sustainable alternatives.
Heat pumps, which extract thermal energy from the ambient air, ground, or water, are becoming increasingly popular.
