Operasional is an Indonesian term meaning related to operations or the act of operating. It is commonly used as an adjective and, in some contexts, as a noun referring to operational activities. The word is borrowed from Latin operatio via European languages.

In business and administration, operasional describes day-to-day activities that enable an organization to run, produce goods, or deliver services. Core concepts include proses operasional, encompasing planning, execution, monitoring, and evaluation; and prosedur operasional standar (SOPs), which standardize routine tasks to ensure efficiency and quality. Biaya operasional refers to operating expenses such as salaries, utilities, and maintenance, distinguished from capital expenditures.
