Omnicanale

Omnicanale is an ancient term used to describe a five- chord scale. This musical concept is also sometimes referred to as the "Pentatonic scale" or the "Omnipitch" scale. In music theory, the term "omnicanale" can be written as five dots in a row, where each dot represents a different pitch level.

The five pitches in a standard omnicanical scale are typically established by a repeating pattern of whole and half steps. In the Western musical context, the most common omnicanical scale pattern is derived from the ascending order of the five black keys on a standard piano keyboard, in D minor, E minor, F#, G#, A, and B.
