Omnipitch

Omnipitch is a term used to describe a hypothetical ability to perceive or produce sounds across the entire spectrum of human hearing, and potentially beyond. In its most common interpretation, it refers to an individual's capacity to hear frequencies ranging from the lowest audible bass notes to the highest ultrasonic pitches. This encompasses a range often considered to be from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, though variations exist due to age and individual physiology.

The concept of omnipitch can also extend to the ability to generate sounds at these frequencies. While humans can produce sounds within the audible range, the generation of extremely high or low frequency sounds is typically beyond our physiological capabilities. Therefore, true omnipitch in this generative sense would imply a unique biological or technological capacity.

In scientific contexts, while individuals may have exceptionally wide hearing ranges, the concept of a single person possessing the ability to perceive and produce sounds across the entire theoretical spectrum remains largely theoretical.
