Ollalauseen

Ollalauseen is a small, unincorporated community located in the northern part of Lapland, Finland. Situated close to the border with Sweden, it is part of the municipality of Enontekiö. The area is characterized by its vast, sparsely populated wilderness, with extensive forests, fells, and lakes, typical of the Arctic landscape.

The primary economic activities in Ollalauseen and the surrounding region have historically been tied to natural resources. These include reindeer herding, which remains a significant cultural and economic practice for the Sámi people who inhabit the area, as well as forestry and some tourism, particularly related to outdoor activities like hiking, fishing, and cross-country skiing. The remoteness of Ollalauseen means that its population is very small, consisting mainly of permanent residents who are deeply connected to the natural environment.

The climate in Ollalauseen is subarctic, with long, cold winters and short, cool summers.
