Olearia

Olearia is a genus of flowering plants in the family Asteraceae, commonly known as daisy-bushes. It is native to Australia and New Zealand, with a few species occurring on nearby Pacific islands. The genus comprises approximately 180 species, including evergreen shrubs, woody shrubs, small trees, and some herbaceous plants.

Plants in the genus typically have leathery, evergreen leaves that are arranged alternately and vary in shape from simple and lanceolate to broader forms. The inflorescences are composite heads, as in other Asteraceae, usually with white, purple, pink, or blue ray florets surrounding yellow disc florets.
