Oftalmológica refers to ophthalmology, the branch of medicine concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases of the eye and visual system. Ophthalmologists are medical doctors who specialize in eye and vision care. They can diagnose and treat all eye diseases, conditions, and injuries. They are also trained to perform eye surgery and prescribe and fit eyeglasses and contact lenses to correct vision problems.
