Nødprævention
Nødprævention, often referred to as the morning-after pill or emergency contraception, is a method used to prevent pregnancy after unprotected intercourse or contraceptive failure. It is not an abortion pill and does not terminate an established pregnancy. Nødprævention works by preventing or delaying ovulation, thickening cervical mucus to hinder sperm's movement, or preventing fertilization. Its effectiveness decreases the later it is taken after unprotected sex.
