Nålder
Nålder is a term primarily used in Swedish to describe the sensation of pins and needles, or a tingling feeling, often experienced in the extremities. This sensation arises from temporary nerve compression or impaired blood flow. Common causes include sitting or lying in an awkward position for too long, leading to pressure on a nerve. It can also be a symptom of certain medical conditions, such as peripheral neuropathy, diabetes, or vitamin deficiencies, though in these cases, the feeling may be more persistent or accompanied by other symptoms.
The sensation of nålder typically resolves quickly once the pressure is removed or blood flow is restored.
