Näyttämötaide is a Finnish umbrella term for the performing arts presented on stage, encompassing theatre, dance, opera, music theatre, puppetry and performance art. It focuses on live stage performance before an audience and typically combines text, movement, music, and design, along with technical elements such as lighting and sound. The field includes traditional dramatic theatre as well as contemporary, experimental and interdisciplinary works that may blend different art forms.

Practitioners include playwrights, directors, dramaturges, choreographers, actors, dancers, designers, composers and technicians. Productions are created through collaborative processes from concept to premiere, often involving dramaturgy, stage design, costumes, lighting, sound, and sometimes multimedia or interactive elements.
