Nyttårsfrukt
Nyttårsfrukt is a Swedish Christmas confectionery made from wafer biscuits and sugar-coated almonds, surmounted by a single marzipan fruit, typically a kiwi, orange, or strawberry. The traditional fruit is an orange, but other fruits such as kiwi or strawberry are also used. The name Nyttårsfrukt translates to "New Year's fruit" in English, which is said to avert bad luck.
The sweet is typically enjoyed during the festive season, particularly on New Year's Eve or Christmas. The
