Nyansapo

Nyansapo, meaning "wisdom knot" in the Akan language, is an Adinkra symbol from the Akan peoples of Ghana and Côte d'Ivoire. It is used to convey messages in Adinkra cloth, pottery, and other decorative arts.

The symbol represents wisdom, prudence, and ingenuity—the ability to make wise decisions, to think ahead, and to seek or give sage counsel.

Iconography typically shows a staff with a prominent knot at the top, sometimes stylized as interlaced loops or a double knot. Variants may emphasize different stylistic details but retain the same meaning.
