Nyandarua

Nyandarua is a county in the central region of Kenya. It is located north of the Aberdare Range and west of the Great Rift Valley. The county headquarters is located in Ol Kalou town. Nyandarua County was established in 2013 following the enactment of the Constitution of Kenya.

The geographical landscape of Nyandarua is characterized by fertile highlands, with elevations ranging from approximately 1,800 to over 3,000 meters above sea level. This high altitude contributes to a cool climate, making it suitable for agriculture. The Aberdare Range forms a significant natural boundary to the east, influencing the county's topography and climate. Major rivers in Nyandarua include the Ena River and the Kasarani River.
