In the imagined scheme, Nutitelerids are small, benthic animals protected by a calcified, plate-like exoskeleton that encloses a compact body roughly 1–3 cm long. The armor is oval to disk-shaped, often with low ridges or nodules and a subtle central axis.

Morphology: The body is covered by a fused, carapace-like covering; appendages are reduced, with paired gills and a ventral feeding organ. The arrangement suggests a primarily sessile lifestyle, drawing food particles from the surrounding water.
