Nuarta

Nuarta is a term most commonly associated with Nyoman Nuarta, a prominent Indonesian sculptor whose work has had a major influence on contemporary public art in Indonesia. The name is also used for a related art institution and site that bears his surname, notably the NuArt Sculpture Park in Bandung, West Java, which functions as a studio complex, exhibition space, and educational venue.

Nyoman Nuarta (born 1958 in Denpasar, Bali) has produced numerous monumental sculptures for public spaces in Indonesia and abroad. His best-known work is the Garuda Wisnu Kencana statue, a centerpiece of the GWK Cultural Park in Bali that has attracted international attention and visitors.
