Nortilidine

Nortilidine is a synthetic opioid analgesic of the piperidine class. It has been marketed in several countries, including Sweden and South Africa, under various brand names such as Pionear and Nortilsan. The chemical name of nortilidine is (α-methyl-4-piperidinyl)trimethylindolo-methyl.

Nortilidine is an agonist of the mu-opioid receptor. It has been reported to exhibit analgesic effects, which are similar to those of codeine and morphine. The onset of action for nortilidine is relatively fast, with peak effects occurring within 20-30 minutes following administration. The duration of action for nortilidine is typically 4-6 hours.
