Nordvale

Nordvale is a town and municipality in the Nordland Province of Eldoria. It lies in the foothills of the Silver Mountains, along the Alder River, about 60 kilometers north of Eldoria City. The town has a population of about 12,400 and an area of 28 square kilometers. The terrain is hilly with mixed deciduous and conifer forests, and the climate is temperate with cool winters; the average annual rainfall is around 900 millimeters.

Historically, Nordvale was founded in the 14th century as a mining settlement and grew in the 18th century with timber and milling industries. It gained municipal status in 1869 and developed textile and service sectors in the 20th century. In recent decades it has shifted toward sustainable forestry and tourism.

The local economy centers on forestry, light manufacturing, and services, with tourism supported by natural scenery, hiking trails, and historic mills.

Nordvale is connected by a regional railway line and a network of buses; the town center contains Nordvale Station, the town hall, and public facilities. Educational institutions include a primary school, a secondary school, and a regional library.

Cultural life includes an annual Winter Market and a River Festival. The Nordvale Museum preserves regional history, and the Old Mill complex is a preserved heritage site. Notable residents include the novelist Lio Kestrel and the biologist Mara Voss.
