Nonworkers

Nonworkers, in a general sense, are individuals who are not currently engaged in paid employment. This broad category encompasses a diverse range of people for various reasons. It can include individuals who are retired, having completed their careers and are living on pensions or savings. Students, particularly those pursuing higher education or vocational training, are also typically considered nonworkers as their primary focus is on learning rather than earning.

Another significant group of nonworkers are those who are unemployed but actively seeking employment. These individuals may be between jobs, have recently been laid off, or are new entrants to the workforce. Stay-at-home parents or caregivers who dedicate their time to managing a household or caring for family members also fall into this category, as their labor is unpaid.
