Nonbevelable

Nonbevelable refers to a characteristic of a surface or edge that cannot be beveled. A bevel is typically an angled surface or edge created by cutting away a sharp corner. When a surface or edge is described as nonbevelable, it means that due to its material properties, structural design, or intended function, it is either impossible or undesirable to create a beveled edge.

For instance, in certain manufacturing processes, especially with very brittle materials like some ceramics, attempting to bevel an edge might lead to chipping or fracturing, making it nonbevelable. Similarly, some components are designed with sharp, precise edges for specific mechanical fits or electrical conductivity, and a bevel would compromise this functionality. The term can also be used in digital modeling or design software where certain geometry types or constraints might prevent the application of a bevel effect. In essence, a nonbevelable surface or edge remains in its original, unchamfered state.
