Ninirsu

Ninirsu is a deity from ancient Mesopotamian mythology, primarily associated with the Sumerian pantheon. He is often identified with the Akkadian god Ninurta. Ninirsu is depicted as a god of war, agriculture, and hunting, embodying a complex set of domains. His epithets often highlight his martial prowess, such as "Lord of the Mighty Blow" or "Hero of An."

The mythology surrounding Ninirsu is rich and varied. One of his most significant myths tells of his battle against the monstrous Asag and his stone army. In this epic struggle, Ninirsu, armed with his mace Sharur, vanquishes the monstrous forces and restores order to the land.
