Nieujawnione

Nieujawnione is a Polish adjective meaning “not disclosed” or “undisclosed,” formed with the negation prefix nie- and the past participle ujawnione (from ujawnić, “to disclose”). It describes information, documents, events or persons that have not been revealed to the public. The term is common in journalism, law and public administration and can modify nouns such as dane, dokumenty, informacje or materiały. The form agrees with the noun in gender and number (for example: nieujawnione dane, nieujawnione dokumenty, nieujawnione informacje).

In practice, nieujawnione is used for material withheld for reasons of privacy, security or ongoing investigations. In media reporting, phrases like „dane nieujawnione” or „informacje nieujawnione” indicate that the source or authorities have not released certain details. In archival or judicial contexts, materials may be described as nieujawnione when access is restricted. The term is related to, but distinct from, ujawnienie (disclosure) and from phrases such as klauzula niejawności (non-disclosure clause) or tajemnica (secret).
