More common alternatives to convey the same idea are niepewnie (uncertainly) or phrases built from the noun niepewność (uncertainty) or the adjective pewny (certain).

Etymology and form: niepewno is formed from the negation prefix nie- added to pewno, itself related to the adjective pewny (certain) and to the adverb pewnie (likely, probably, or certainly). The prefix negates the sense of certainty, producing a sense of doubt or vagueness. As an adverb, niepewno is invariable and does not reflect gender or number, but its occurrence is rarer than the standard niepewnie.

Usage and nuance: niepewno is typically found in narrative, argumentative, or reflective passages where the author or speaker wishes to hedge a claim or emphasize ambiguity. It can convey tentative stance about a future event, a partial assessment, or a cautious conclusion. In modern speech, speakers generally prefer niepewnie or more explicit formulations, such as nierozstrzygony or nie jestem pewien.
