Nidensa
Nidensa is a genus of small, bioluminescent moss-like plants described in the fictional biota of the Valerea archipelago. It is monotypic, containing the species Nidensa luminis. The genus name derives from Latin nidus, nest, reflecting its habit of forming dense mats in shaded, moist habitats.
Nidensa luminis forms loose mats on decaying wood and shaded rock faces. Individual plants are 3–8 cm
Distribution and habitat: Endemic to the temperate forests of Valerea. It thrives in humid understory microhabitats
Ecology and reproduction: The plant relies on photosynthesis and reproduces via sporophyte capsules on short stalks.
Taxonomy and discovery: Nidensa luminis was described by botanists Mira Kato and Johan Geddes in 2148. It
Significance and conservation: Researchers study its bioluminescent properties for potential low-energy lighting and imaging applications. Knowledge
