Neutrálu

Neutrálu is a Czech term used to denote neutrality in various contexts, describing an absence of bias, charge, or influence. The word appears in political, scientific, and everyday language to indicate a state or stance that does not align with opposing sides or forces. In political and international-law contexts, neutrality describes a position of not taking sides in a conflict, often formalized by treaties, declarations, or long-standing policy. Historically, examples include Switzerland’s long-standing policy of permanent neutrality and Sweden’s periods of non-alignment.

In science and everyday use, neutrality denotes conditions free from a specific influence. A solution with a pH near 7 is described as neutral, reflecting equal concentrations of hydrogen and hydroxide ions. In color theory and design, neutral colors such as white, gray, and black are used to create balance or to support more saturated hues. In mechanics, neutral can describe a gear position in vehicles that allows wheels to rotate without engine torque.

Etymology and usage: neutrálu derives from the Latin neutralis, passing through European languages such as French neutre and German neutral, and entered Czech with adaptations to its inflectional system. In Czech, the form appears in various grammatical cases and constructions, typically tied to the concept of impartiality or a noncharged state.
