Neutroneista
Neutroneista (plural neutroneisti) is the Italian term for a scientist who studies neutrinos, the elementary particles that interact only weakly with matter. In English, the equivalent term is neutrino physicist. A neutroneista may work in experimental neutrino physics, focusing on detection, measurement, and data analysis, or in theoretical neutrino physics, developing models of neutrino masses, mixing, and new physics scenarios.
The field covers a wide range of topics and experimental approaches. Researchers study solar, atmospheric, reactor,
Historically, neutrinos were proposed by Pauli in 1930 to explain beta decay, and were first detected in
Education and career pathways typically require a PhD in physics or a related field, followed by postdoctoral
