Neurokemikaalid
Neurokemikaalid, also known as neurotransmitters, are chemical messengers that nerve cells, or neurons, use to communicate with each other and with other target cells in the nervous system. They are released from the axon terminal of one neuron and bind to specific receptors on the dendrite or cell body of another neuron, or on a muscle or gland cell. This binding triggers a response in the receiving cell, either exciting or inhibiting its activity.
