Nekarchus
Nekarchus was an ancient Greek military commander and statesman from Phocis. He is primarily known for his role in the Sacred Wars, a series of conflicts fought in ancient Greece between the 6th and 4th centuries BCE over control of the Oracle of Delphi. Nekarchus was a prominent figure in the Third Sacred War, which began in 356 BCE. During this conflict, Phocis found itself in opposition to a coalition of Thessalian city-states, supported by Macedon.
