Nedkasttid

Nedkasttid is a Swedish term that translates to "throw-in time" or "throw-in interval." It refers to the period during a football (soccer) match when the ball is out of play due to a throw-in. When the ball crosses the touchline, play is temporarily stopped, and the opposing team to the one that last touched the ball is awarded a throw-in. The time taken for a player to retrieve the ball, position themselves correctly, and execute the throw is considered nedkasttid. This period can vary significantly depending on the speed of play, the location of the ball, and the player taking the throw.
