Necromunda

Necromunda is a tabletop miniature wargame produced by Games Workshop, set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. It focuses on gang warfare within the hive cities of the planet Necromunda. Players control small gangs of fighters, typically composed of between six and twelve miniatures, competing for territory, resources, and prestige. The game is known for its detailed lore, featuring a grim and brutal dystopian future where powerful noble houses rule over sprawling, overcrowded urban environments.

The core gameplay involves tactical combat on a grid-based battlefield, often set in the underhive, a labyrinthine and dangerous section of the hive cities. Each gang has its own unique abilities, fighters, and equipment, allowing for diverse playstyles. Campaigns are a significant aspect of Necromunda, where gangs can grow in experience, acquire new skills and gear, and suffer injuries or even death, creating emergent narratives.

The setting of Necromunda is characterized by its oppressive atmosphere, with vast industrial zones, toxic waste dumps, and the constant threat of violence. The inhabitants of the hive cities are often desperate, struggling for survival in a society marked by extreme inequality.
