NeYo
NeYo, whose full name is Shaffer Chimere Smith, is an American singer, songwriter, and record producer. Born on September 20, 1977, in Atlanta, Georgia, NeYo gained prominence in the early 2000s as a member of the R&B group Destiny's Child. He left the group in 2005 to pursue a solo career. NeYo's solo debut album, "In My Own Words," was released in 2006 and featured the hit single "So Sick." The album was certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA). His second album, "Because of You," was released in 2008 and also achieved platinum status. The album's title track, "Because of You," became a major hit and won the Grammy Award for Best Male R&B Vocal Performance in 2009. NeYo has also worked as a songwriter and producer for other artists, including Beyoncé, Mariah Carey, and Usher. He has won multiple Grammy Awards and has been nominated for several others throughout his career. NeYo is known for his smooth R&B style and his ability to blend soulful vocals with catchy melodies.
