Ndjuka
Ndjuka, also spelled Ndyuka or Aukan, are an Afro-Surinamese Maroon people primarily living along the Maroni River and its inland rainforest areas in Suriname and neighboring French Guiana. They form one of the region’s largest Maroon groups and maintain communities on both sides of the river border, with extensive kin and trade networks across the border.
