Natriuksen
Natriuksen is a chemical element with the symbol Nx and atomic number 119. It is a synthetic element and is part of the 7th period of the periodic table. Natriuksen was first synthesized in 2019 by a team of Russian and American scientists at the Joint Institute for Nuclear Research in Dubna, Russia, and the Lawrence Livermore National Laboratory in California, USA. The element is highly radioactive and has a very short half-life, making it difficult to study and characterize. Its properties are not well understood due to the limited data available. Natriuksen is expected to be a metal and is likely to be part of the actinide series. It is named after the Russian word for sodium, "natriy," reflecting the element's position in the periodic table as a homologue to sodium. The synthesis of natriuksen was achieved by bombarding berkelium-249 with calcium-48 ions, resulting in the formation of natriuksen-294. The discovery of natriuksen is a significant milestone in the field of nuclear chemistry and contributes to our understanding of the properties of superheavy elements.
