Narrowwidth refers to a typeface design characteristic where the characters are significantly narrower than their standard proportions. This design choice is often employed to fit more text onto a single line or within a constrained space, such as in narrow columns of text or in specific display contexts. Typefaces with narrowwidth designs can enhance readability in situations where horizontal space is limited, allowing for a denser presentation of information without necessarily sacrificing legibility.
