Naresuan
King Naresuan the Great (Thai: สมเด็จพระนเรศวรมหาราช; RTGS: *Somdet Phra Naresuan Maharat*; 21 October 1555 – 21 April 1605) was one of the most celebrated monarchs of Ayutthaya Kingdom, ruling from 1590 until his death. His reign is renowned for his military victories, particularly against the Burmese Empire, which had repeatedly invaded Siam (modern-day Thailand). Naresuan is widely regarded as a national hero in Thailand, symbolizing resistance against foreign domination and national sovereignty.
